A sale inside the state. The two parts add up to the GST.
To add GST, the tax is the amount times the rate, rounded to the nearest rupee. The gross price is the amount plus that tax. To remove GST, the amount before tax is the gross price times 100, divided by 100 plus the rate, again to the nearest rupee. GST is what is left.
Inside one state, the tax is split into CGST and SGST. They add up to the same GST. If the rupees do not split evenly, one side takes the extra rupee. A sale to another state keeps the whole tax as IGST.

Questions
What GST applies to gold making charges?
Gold and gold jewellery are at 3% on this page. A making charge is a separate service. Type that amount on its own if you want GST on it. This page does not assume a rate for making charges.
Is GST on a loan processing fee always 18%?
The personal loan calculator adds 18% GST on the processing fee. That is how that page treats the fee. It is not a rule that every bank fee is 18%. Use the rate on your sanction letter.
