Buying gold in Kochi
Kerala buyers often ask for the local board, in Kochi and in Thrissur. That board can differ from the India rate, and this page does not guess the difference. The title says Kerala (Kochi) because people search for the state and the city.

- Match the 6-character HUID where the hallmark order applies. Thrissur and Kochi shops follow that order only where it applies.

Is this the Kerala jewellers’ association rate?
No. A local board in Kerala can differ from the India rate, especially where shops follow an association rate. We have not published that board. This page is the indicative India rate, labelled as such.
Why can a Kochi or Thrissur board differ?
Indicative India rate. Kochi jewellers set their own board rate, which can differ slightly. Thrissur is a large jewellery market and Kochi shops set their own boards too. The difference is theirs. We do not fill it with a guessed rupee.
What should a Kerala wedding bill show?
The purity, the net weight in grams, the rate, making charges and GST. 22K means 916 on a BIS hallmark. Where the order applies, the 6-character HUID on the piece should be the one on the bill.
Is one tola 10 grams, 11.66 grams or 12 grams?
On Finfod, one tola is 11.66 grams. It is not 10 grams, and it is not 12 grams. If a Kochi counter uses a different gram weight for the word tola, ask them to write the grams they mean.
Does this page show Kochi fuel prices?
No. Petrol and diesel on Finfod are published for Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Kochi is not in that list. The gold cards are unchanged by fuel.
