Dariba Kalan, off Chandni Chowk, is Delhi’s old jewellery lane. Shops on that lane do not share one board. This page gives you the India rate so you can see the metal before a Delhi quote adds making charges.
- Ask two Dariba Kalan shops for the same purity and the same gram weight before you compare making charges.
- 24K on this page is 999 parts gold in 1,000. 22K is 916. 18K is 750. Read the number on the piece, not only the karat word.
- Where the hallmark order applies, match the 6-character HUID. A jeweller whose yearly turnover is up to ₹40 lakh is outside that order.
- The side column’s petrol and diesel prices are Delhi’s. They are not part of the gold rate.

Is this the Chandni Chowk board rate?
No. Indicative India rate. Delhi jewellers set their own board rate, which can differ slightly. Chandni Chowk and Dariba Kalan shops write their own boards. We do not copy those boards onto this page.
Why can two Delhi shops disagree on the same day?
Each shop chooses its board rate and its making charge. The design and the wastage line move the bill as well. The cards here stay on one India rate so you can see the metal underneath both quotes.
Does the Delhi figure include GST?
The cards open excluding GST. The switch adds 3% on the metal. Making charges are still excluded. A Delhi bill can show GST on the whole transaction, including making, so trust the invoice for the tax you pay.
What does a 6-character HUID tell me in Dariba Kalan?
Where the hallmark order applies, gold jewellery carries a BIS mark, the purity, and a 6-character HUID. Ask the shop to show that code and match it to the bill. Coins and bars sit outside the jewellery order. Keep the bill anyway.
How is a tola different from 10 grams?
One tola is 11.66 grams on this page. Ten grams is the weight many people compare, and it is a little under a tola. Use the tola row when the shop spoke in tolas, and the 10 g row when it spoke in grams.
