Why is there no separate Hyderabad gold price here?

We publish one indicative India gold rate. Indicative India rate. Hyderabad jewellers set their own board rate, which can differ slightly. Inventing a Hyderabad gap would be a number we cannot check, so we do not print one.

What should I ask for in Laad Bazaar?

The purity, the gold weight in grams, the rate, the making charges and GST, each on its own line. Where the hallmark order applies, ask for the 6-character HUID and match it to the bill.

Does a pearl-set piece use this gold rate alone?

No. The cards price gold. A pearl, a stone or the setting is the shop’s charge. Ask for the gold weight separately before you multiply the per-gram rate.

How do I turn the per-gram rate into a tola?

Use the tola row. One tola is 11.66 grams, so it is not ten times the per-gram rate and it is not twelve times it. The row is already that weight, excluding GST until you switch GST on.
